A. Whereas the brutal murder of 27-year- old Afghan woman, Farkhunda, who was beaten to death by a mob for alleged blasphemy, in the centre of Kabul on 19 March 2015, while the police did not intervene, illustrates the lack of freedoms and security, particularly for women in Afghanistan;
