Calls on the Commission to give special consideration to the specific features of the EU's outermost regions, whose territorial waters ensure that the EU has the world's largest Exclusive Economic Zone, the physical, social and economic characteristics of their sea basins and the challenges resulting from their remote location, as well as difficulties of access and the need for greater coastal maritime surveillance of such regions;
