  Cette proposition de directive propose des mesures de contrôle de la commercialisation et de l'utilisation des ethers de polybromobiphenyl incorporés comme retardateurs de flamme dans certaines matières plastiques. La Commission propose que ces ethers soient inclus dans l'Annexe 1 de la directive 76/769/CEE et qu'ils soient remplacés graduellement par des produits de substitution plus sûrs.
