    This proposal for a regulation sought to amend Regulation 1860/76 laying down the Conditions of Employment of Staff of the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. This amendment sought to supplement and adjust the Conditions of Employment of Staff in this body in order to maintain the parallels with conditions for the temporary staff of the Community institutions: - introduction of rules governing the reimbursement of travel expenses upon taking up duty and leaving the service; - introduction of supplementary retirement pension rights at the rate of 5% of the rights acquired before age 60 for each year worked after that age, but not so as to bring total rights above 70% of the final basic salary; - adjustment of the rules governing transfers of pension rights; - applicability from 1 January 1992 of a 'temporary contribution' measure levied on remuneration paid by the Communities to officials and other servants of the Centre; - adjustment of the Conditions of Employment raising individual contributions to the pension scheme from 6.75% to 8.25% with effect from 1 January 1993; - addition of grade A3 - head of division - which did not currently exist in the hierarchical table of grades of this institution.�
