    The amendments were limited to the adjustments required as a result of the amendments that the Treaty on European Union made to the EC, ECSC and Euratom Treaties. They aimed, in particular, to take account of the inclusion, within the actions whose validity was controlled by the Court or whose interpretation it could rule on, of acts adopted jointly by the European Parliament and the Council as well as acts taken by the European Central Bank. They also took into consideration the amendments made to Article 165 of the EC Treaty and the corresponding provisions of the ECSC and Euratom Treaty in respect of the referral of issues to the Court's chambers. �
