Details

The ESC approved all of the amendments to the statutes of the Joint European Torus (JET), joint undertaking. As regards more specifically the proposal to extend the life of the joint undertaking, it noted that this did not affect the total expenditure allocated to the fusion programme for 1994-1998. Since the ESC had already approved this expenditure, which incorporated the appropriations required to cover the cost of extending the life of the JET joint undertaking, it had no reason to query the Commission’s proposal.
