  OBJECTIVE: to amend Directive 85/73/EEC laying down general rules with a view to financing veterinary inspections of Community animal products or those imported from third countries. CONTENT: the proposal for a Council directive states that, in the case of poultrymeat governed by Directive 71/118/EEC, last modified by the deed of accession of Austria, Finland and Sweden, the provisions concerning the minimum amount to be collected for ante-mortem and post-mortem inspections should be maintained.�
