Although it was not the subject of any “formal” amendments, the proposal does, however, take into account the recommendations of the Consultative Working Party of the respective legal services of the European Parliament, Council and Commission, which make a number of technical observations on the text of the codified proposal. The proposed text was subsequently adapted. Aside from these factors, the proposal is a straightforward codification of existing texts, without any change in their substance.
