  The European Parliament adopted by 632 votes to 17, with 8 abstentions, a legislative resolution approving, under the consultation procedure, the proposal for a Council regulation setting up a network for the collection of accountancy data on the incomes and business operation of agricultural holdings in the European Community (codified version).The text was approved in accordance with the opinion of Consultative Working Party, consisting of the legal services of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission, which confirmed that the proposal is a straightforward codification of existing texts, without any change in their substance.

  PURPOSE: to undertake a codification of legislation as regards the setting up a network for the collection of accountancy data on the incomes and business operation of agricultural holdings in the European Community (codified version).PROPOSED ACT: Council Regulation.CONTENT: the purpose of this proposal is to undertake a codification of Regulation No 79/65/EEC of the Council of 15 June 1965 setting up a network for the collection of accountancy data on the incomes and business operation of agricultural holdings in the European Economic Community. The new Regulation will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. This proposal fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bringing them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
