summary
The Committee on International Trade adopted the recommendation by Vital MOREIRA (S&D, PT) on the draft Council decision on the position of the European Union in relation to the draft Regulation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on pedestrian safety and to the draft Regulation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe concerning Light Emitting Diode (LED) light sources together with its corrigenda. The Committee recommends the European Parliament to give its consent to the draft Council decision because these UNECE Regulations will allow for the application of the same standards in many countries, taking away red tape and allowing European industry to compete more widely and easily.
