Considers that the regpre~~ttable the downgrading of gender equality in the public debate and~~sentativeness of all social groups is adequately reflected in the public sphere, although it might be appropriate to highlight the disappearance from the debate of the elderly, who are not consulted or represented to an extent commensurate with the impact that public policies have on their daily lives, and calls for this to be taken into account in the policy agenda at EU and national level in post-2020 cohesion policy;
