  • Joined the PCF (French Communist Party) and the Movement of Communist Youth in 1943; member of the Central Committee of the PCF since 1964; Chairman of the Communist group on the Corrèze Department General Council; former secretary of the Corrèze Federation of the PCF 1953-1973; member of the PCF's agrarian section.
  • Member of the Corrèze Department General Council since 1973. Deputy for the Corrèze 1956-1958 and 1973-1978. Rapporteur on the agriculture budget for the finance committee of the National Assembly 1974-1978.
  • Medal of Voluntary Combatant of the Resistance; Silver Medal for road safety.
