  • Graduate in medicine of the University of Athens. Pathologist and cardiologist since 1957. Assistant university lecturer until 1967. Dismissed under the dictatorship of the colonels and arrested in 1970. Sentenced by the special military tribunal to two and a half years' imprisonment as a member of PAK (Greek Liberation Movement).
  • Cofounder and member of the Central Committee of PA.SO.K.
  • Elected Deputy for the Akhaïa constituency in 1974; reelected 1977.
  • Secretary-General (until 1967) and Vice-president (1974) of the Athens Medical Council.
