  • Director of the Midi-Pyrénées Hiking Committee (1979-1982). Special adviser to the Chairman of the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Tourism Committee (1982-1983). Deputy Secretary-General then Secretary-General to the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Tourism Committee (1983-1986). Parliamentary assistant to Lionel Jospin, Member of the National Assembly for Haute-Garonne and First Secretary of the Socialist Party (1986-1988). Special adviser in the office of the Minister of State, Minister for National Education, Higher Education, Research and Sport (1988-1992). Director of Communication in the Association of French-Speaking Universities (AUPELF) in Montreal (Canada) (1992-1995).
