  • Magistrate since 1967, has spent much of her career at the Milan Court as a civil judge and criminal judge. From 1986 to 1990 was elected member of the Supreme Council of the Magistrature, the first woman to hold this office.
  • Twice President of the National Magistrates' Association (1994-1995 and 1997-1998). Since January 1999, President of the Lelio and Lisli Basso Foundation for the study of contemporary society.
